TLP Protests Expected All Over Pakistan

The chief of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan Khadim Hussain Rizvi has been arrested by the police from his residence in Lahore. Also in all major cities of Pakistan, a crackdown has been initiated against the TLP activists. Many workers of the party have been arrested and also the police officers are deployed in Faizabad to control any incident or protest.

Earlier TLP announced that they will go on a protect at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on November 25th. As they were not withdrawing from their protest, the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the TLP leader Rizvi has been taken into the ‘protective custody’.

He said, “Protecting public lives and properties is the first priority of the government.”

Now according to different tweets and rumors, the TLP will protest the arrest of their leader and high profile workers.

According to M. Jibran Nasir, “Khadim Rizvi is in custody as per reports & TLP has given a call for protest and for protestors to arm themselves with sticks. Right now all institutions need to discipline their ranks. LEAs, Political Parties, News Media associations, Bar Councils, Student Grps”

But according to this tweeted there will be no tolerance against any protests. “The security sources informed that a zero tolerance policy is devised against any protest that would take place against the arrest of TLP leaders. “Those who would take part in the protest will also be arrested.”
