Ashfaq Ahmad Khan—Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Punjab police operations said that TikTok has become a go-to platform for the youngsters of the country who flaunt their weapons and aerial firing, therefore, this mobile application should be immediately banned in the country.
“I request the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to look into the matter and immediately impose a ban on the video-sharing mobile application,” the operations DIG said on Thursday.
According to the details, the officials of the Punjab police are also preparing a report that will cover all the negative aspects of the mobile application TikTok that allows users to create and share videos with others. The report will be submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
It is pertinent to mention here that the police have busted one of two suspects in Punjab’s city Jhelum who were accused of gang raping a girl after befriending her on the same mobile application.
According to the details, the victim had filed a case against the suspects at the Millat Park Police Station and the official are still searching for the other suspect.
