On Saturday, Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that the third spell of monsoon rain in Karachi is expected to begin from today due to the influence of the low-pressure area developed in Gujrat India.
The Met Director Sardar Sarfaraz said that another rainy spell is expected to enter the port city from today (25th July).
As per the Meteorological Department, 20-25 mm downpour is expected in different areas of Karachi during this third rainy spell.
This morning, some areas of the port city received drizzle. The areas that reported drizzling included; I.I Chundrigar Road, Saddar, and Liaqatabad.
A few days earlier on Thursday, MET (Pakistan Meteorological Department) forecasted that the third spell of rain is going to hit the port city Karachi between the 26th and 27th of July.
On the 17th of July, many areas of Karachi received heavy rainfall during the Second spell of rain.
The second spell of rain caused problems for the citizens as all the roads were flooded with water resulting in traffic jams. The traffic was hindered in Jama Cloth Market, Do Talwar, Shahra-e-Faisla, Bahadurabad, Nursery, Star Gate, Guru Mandir, Liaqatabad, Boat Basin, NIPA roundabout, Regent Plaza, Hassan Square, Defence, Lines Area, Clifton and many other areas of Karachi.
