These Pakistanis are among ‘World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims’ 2018 List

Royal Islamic Strategies Studies Centre has published the list of ‘World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims’ 2018. Disqualified Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, ex-chief of army staff Gen Raheel Sharif, Wife of Abdul Sattar Edhi Bilquis Edhi, Malala Yousafzai and PTI Chairman Imran Khan have made to the list.

Bilquis Edhi is recognized for her charity work and unconditional help for the needy of Pakistan. While she is recognized for this we have also heard that some influential beings are trying to demolish Edhi Foundations. 

Other than these names Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq, human rights activist and lawyer Asma Jahangir, singer Abida Parveen, Dr. Adib Rizvi and Maulana Tariq Jameel are part of the list.

The influential Muslims are chosen out of 13 categories that are philanthropy, arts, and culture, extremists, science and technology, politics and the administration of religious affairs.

The Professor Dr. Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Al-Tayyeb has been named the most influential Muslim. He is the Grand Sheikh of the Al-Azhar University. The second and third spot is given to King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia and King Abdullah II of Jordan respectively.

7th spot is granted to Pakistani religious scholar Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani, while the 13th position is given to Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman
