There might be two holidays in Pakistan during the first week of May

It is finally holiday! Marked and written holiday in a calendar.

It is not confirmed but there might be two holidays in Pakistan at the start of next month May.

As we all know that 1st May is Labour Day, and government of Pakistan had already announced a public holiday on the occasion. But, on the 2nd day of May, there might another holiday because there is an Islamic occasion called Shab-e-Baraat on 2nd of the May.

Many Muslim communities observe a holiday on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. Muslims celebrates this event on the night between 14 and 15 of Islamic month called Sha’ban.

Shab-e-Barat called by different names depending on the countries’ language. In Urdu, it is “Shab-e-Barat”, in Arabic its “نصف شعبان‎, Nisf(u) Sha’ban” and in Farsi its “نيم شعبان‎, Nim Sha’ban”.
