The USA Remained Top Export Destination for Pakistan
According to the data released by the SBP, the USA remained the top export destination during July-Nov 2020 with a value of $1.744 billion.
According to the recent data shared by the SBP, the USA remained at the top of the list of exporters. The export value during the first 5-months of FY21 is $1.855 billion which is 6% higher compared to the exports of FY20 for the same period. Previously, the export value was $1.744 billion.
According to more data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), export values for the period July-Nov 2020 of other top destinations are as follows:
- Export value to the UK was $777.8 million – a hype of 6% where the previous export value was recorded at $726.94 million for the same period of 2019.
- China was third in line with a total export value of $615.73 million – a dip of 15% where the export value for the period July-Nove 2019 was $727.48 million.
- Export value to Germany was $615.53 million, showing a dip of 15% where the previous stats recorded an export value of about $724.15 million in 2019.
- Exports to the UAE were $566 million – an increase of 11% with a total value of $505 million for the same period of 2019.
According to the economic data by SBO, exports to the Netherlands stood at $411.2 million, Afghanistan at $368.1million, and Spain at $289.997 million during the same period.
The export values for November alone to the USA were $394.5 million, the UK at $171.47 million, and China at $153.46 million.
