The temperature will rapidly rise in the upcoming days as revealed by the Met Office. A change in weather is expected in the city in the days to come. In the City of Lights ‘Karachi’ already the weather is getting hotter and things will not improve any time soon.
On Saturday and Sunday the temperature is expected to rise as high as 39 degrees Celsius, as per the Met Office. The change in wind directions and the sea breeze is the main reason for it.
Met Office Karachi director Sardar Sarfraz said, “We are expecting a slight increase in the temperature from Friday due to the change in wind direction and suspension of sea breeze, which may result in daytime temperature of up to 39 degrees Celsius on Saturday, Sunday and maybe Monday.”
Furthermore, Sardar said that Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has not given issuance of any alert regarding any heatwave. He also gave assurance that the situation is being monitored by the department and as of yet it is nothing alarming.
PMD report said that in most parts of the country weather is expected to be dry while in Sindh it will be hot. In some isolated places thunderstorm is expected that is in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat divisions, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad / Rawalpindi.
