Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be reaching Lahore today.

The welcome of the royal couple will be done by the Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minster Punjab Usman Buzdar.

The duke and duchess will hold separate meetings with the Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab in their day-long visit to Lahore.

The couple has also scheduled to visit the SOS village. They will also attend a ceremony which is going to be held at the National Cricket Academy at the provincial capital during their stay.

They will also visit the famous Badshahi mosque in Lahore built by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1673. Also they have planned on visiting the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Prince William and Kate Middleton went near the Afghan borders in order to visit a remote hindu kush glacier. They spent a morning trying on different feathery traditional caps and shawls on the north mountains of Pakistan.

The royal couple traveled in a helicopter by a glacier in Broghil Valley National Park to check the effects of climate change in one of the most glaciated areas of the world.

People living there were sounding the alarm of the melting glaciers due to which there came a flood in 2015. Because of the flood many families lost their homes and were camping in the open just when the winter approached.

The duke called the melting of glacier an Impending Catastrophe during a speech he delivered at their reception in Islamabad.

The British royal met the environmental experts in order to discuss the melting before going to Kalash to spend their afternoon.

The valleys of Chitral have always attracted the tourists with its natural beauty and their brush with legend as the home of Kalash which was claimed by Alexander the Great.

While travelling the duke and duchess tried on the traditional caps which had a touch of peacock feather and as per the local media, it was a gift for the royal couple by the residents living there.

They also tried on chapans which is a long bulky embroidered coat famous in central Asia. And woolen shawls were gifted to the duchess.
