An automobile company Pak Suzuki has announced to increase the prices of Bolan carry and Ravi pickup by Rs35,000.
As per the details of the new prices, the price of Suzuki’s Ravi pickup has crossed Rs1 million and it will now be available at Rs1,034,000. On the other hand, the two variants of Bolan passenger and cargo vans will now be selling at Rs1,134,000 and Rs1,075,000 respectively.
The company has announced that the new prices of the vehicles will be applicable from August 10.
“Suzuki is posting losses since the last six quarters and it is expected that the company will post the biggest loss in the seventh consecutive quarter that ended in June 2020,” JS Global Capital’s Senior Research Analyst Ahmed Lakhani said.
The key reason to increase the prices of the vehicles at this point could be that these products are not feasible at the current price levels after the value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar went down, he said.
The Bolan by the Suzuki Pak is based on the ST90V version of the seventh generation Suzuki Carry, which was introduced in 1979. The Ravi is its pickup version.
It is pertinent to mention here that the stock market of the company fell from Rs264.83 to Rs256 by the time this development was filed on Monday.
