An ambulance carrying a fake dead body to Depalpur from Sindh’s capital Karachi has been impounded by the Gadap police on Monday.
A police officer of the Gadap police said he stopped the ambulance and the driver of the vehicle said that he is taking a dead body to Depalpur. The driver of the ambulance even showed a fake death certificate to the police officials.
According to the details, when the police officials asked him to open the vehicle and show the dead body, they found as many as 10 men sitting inside the ambulance with a man pretending to be dead.
After some investigation by the police, the passengers told the police that they paid Rs50,000 to the driver of the ambulance to take them to their village.
On the other hand, the Saddar police have arrested as many as 18 people for illegally traveling to KP’s city Mansehra. According to the details, the police have also arrested the driver of the vehicle.
It is pertinent to mention here that a lockdown has been imposed in different parts of the country to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus because of which people have been barred from traveling from one city to another.
