The original Iron Man Mark III suit that Robert Downey Jr. wore in the first Iron Man movie is reportedly stolen. The Los Angeles Police Department starts an investigation into the matter.
The first Iron Man movie was released in 2008 by Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Terrence Howard as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, and Jeff Bridges as-as the villainous Obadiah Stane.
In the “Iron Man” movie franchise, Tony has created and used several versions of the Iron Man suit which includes the original Mark I and the Mark XLIV “Hulkbuster” in the movie “Captian America: Civil War”. But the iconic suit featured in the very first movie: the Mark III is reportedly missing from the Pacoima, California movie prop facility in which it was being kept.
The spokesperson of LAPD, Rosario Herrera, informed The Hollywood Reporter that the Police Department is currently probing the theft, adding that several other items had also been stolen in the past. The stolen suit worth up to $320,000 was last seen in the facility in February, but now the suit’s chest, leg, arms, and head are missing.
The facility’s owners reported the alleged robbery after a routine check. There are currently no leads in the investigation, and identity of the other missing items have not been disclosed yet.
