The number of coronavirus deaths in Pakistan crosses 3,000

According to the official stats, the number of the confirmed coronavirus cases across the country has reached 160,118 after 5,358 new COVID-19 infections were reported in the country over the past 24 hours. As per the details, at least 118 more patients of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have lost their lives.

According to the official data shared by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) regarding the coronavirus cases, so far, 60,138 cases have been detected in Punjab, 59,983 in Sindh, 19,613 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 8,794 in Balochistan, 9,637 in the federal capital of Islamabad, 740 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and 1,213 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

After 118 deaths due to coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, the number of people dying from the deadly virus across the country has reached 3,093. A total of 5,358 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were detected when 31,500 tests were conducted during this period.

On the other hand, the number of people recovered from the deadly virus has reached 59,215. So far, 982,021 tests for the deadly virus have been conducted across the country.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza had said there is no effective treatment for the novel coronavirus in the world so far.
