The novel coronavirus continued spreading in the country as the number of the confirmed cases in Pakistan has increased to 1,000 on Wednesday.
According to the details shared through the national dashboard, a number of new cases were reported in Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The spokesperson of the provincial government of Balochistan confirmed that five news cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province, taking its total number to 115. “The number of confirmed cases in the province now stands at 115 after five new cases were identified in the Taftan quarantine, the Balochistan government’s spokesperson added.
On the other hand, three new cases of deadly virus have been reported in Sindh, while one new cases reported each in Gilgit-Baltistan and the federal capital of Islamabad.
As many as 16 people in Islamabad have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, 296 in Pakistan’s most populated province Punjab and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
It is worth mentioning here that the Sindh remains the worst affected province of Pakistan by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) so far with a total number of 413 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
As per the details, in KP, the number of coronavirus cases in the province stands at 78, while the number of reported cases in Gilgit-Baltistan is 81.
