A defense analyst General (Rtd) Amjad Shoaib, during an interview, said that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa didn’t meet the JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

He further said that no meeting took place between the army chief and Fazlur Rehman, General (Rtd) Amjad Shoaib said.
“I think the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) will also issue a denial,” he further said.
A day earlier on Thursday, a news was published quoting a TV anchorperson, claiming that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) had an important meeting the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F).
According to the statement of the anchor, the meeting between COAS and JUI-F chief took place a few days back when Maulana had already announced his Azadi March.
In the report, The News, while quoting the anchorperson, said that the meeting is common knowledge. The anchor also said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) assured Maulana that he stands by the Constitution and democracy.
According to the anchor of a private TV channel, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) also ruled out the possibility of the minus-Imran concept by saying that he is a constitutional Prime Minister of Pakistan. “Neither I nor you could minus him,” the army chief said according to anchor.
