The lawyer of the president of Pakistan’s second-largest political party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
According to the details, the lawyer of the PML-N president was appointed for the Ashiana Housing Scheme scam against the former chief minister of Punjab.
The details further said that the hearing of the Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal was held in the accountability court in Punjab’s capital city Lahore with the strict precautionary measures due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus that took lives of the thousands of the people around the world.
Lahore’s accountability court on the plea of Muhammad Nawaz Chaudhry, the lawyer of the PML-N’s president Shehbaz Sharif, Ahad Cheema, and others, granted him exemption from the court appearance.
The accountability court, however, adjourned the hearing of the corruption reference related to the Ashiana Housing Scheme scandal against the former chief minister Punjab till June 5.
On the other hand, Pakistan has become the 20th most-affected country from the novel coronavirus. It climbed on the 20th position on the global coronavirus ranking on Sunday after the countrywide count of the COVID-19 confirmed cases crossed 30,000 after the province of Sindh reported 709 new cases.
