The situation of the novel coronavirus in the country is deteriorating day by day as Pakistan conducted the highest number of 20,167 tests of the coronavirus in a day.
After witnessing an increase in the coronavirus cases, the authorities have launched an operation against the violators of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in several parts of the country.
According to the official stats shared by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) on Thursday, the country has conducted 20,167 tests for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on June 3, the highest-ever number in a single day. It is to be mention here that more than 610,000 tests of the novel coronavirus have been conducted in the country so far.
Pakistan, which has already surpassed China in terms of the number of coronavirus affected persons, witnessed nearly 2,900 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus during the period of last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 86,139.
It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 64 people lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,793.
