Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed—the Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways said on Tuesday that the deficit of Railway has been decreased by 4 billion rupees during the fiscal year 2018-19.
During his press conference in Rawalpindi, the minister said that the deficit has been decreased from 36.62 billion rupees to 32.59 billion rupees.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad expressed the hope that the fiscal deficit of Pakistan Railways would be ended in the next five years.
The minister further said that 24 new passenger and two freight trains have been launched by the current federal government of Pakistan.
Mr Ahmad said that Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan will inaugurate Rawalpindi-Karachi bound Sir Syed Express passenger train in Rawalpindi tomorrow. “The Sargodha Express was being extended up to Mianwali,” he added.
