In this time of coronavirus crisis, there is good news for the residents of Karachi that the crime rate in the metropolis has been dropped.
According to the details shared by the Karachi authorities, the crime rate in Sindh’s capital has decreased by 60% due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
As personnel of the law enforcement agencies performing their duties on the roads of Karachi, the number of motorcycles, cars, and other valuable robbed has dropped.

According to the details, previously, on a daily basis, between 60 and 55 motorcycles and 35 to 40 cars were robbed. But now, the number has now decreased to 20.
An official of the Karachi police even said that not a single car has been robbed in the metropolis during the period of the last eight days.
It is pertinent to mention here that a country-wide lockdown has been imposed after the number of the novel coronavirus increased. More than 1,700 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country so far.
Federal and all provincial governments have advised people to stay home and maintain the social distancing the stop the spread of the deadly virus that took lives of the thousands of people around the world.
