The luxury Swiss International Hotels & Resorts is mulling to open its chain in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
In a meeting with the K-P CM Mahmood Khan the Swiss International Hotels & Resorts President and CEO Henri Hans WR Kennedie revealed that they are planning to open luxury hotels in different cities of KP.
They will start by opening hotels in Peshawar and then in the second move to Mardan, Chitral and Malakand, Kennedie. On the idea of CM Mahmood, the investors might also develop tourist spots in the area.
Mahmood said that the primary aim of him and his government is to promote tourism by developing attractive and appealing places in KPK for foreigners and the locals.
Under the 100-day agenda of provincial government, 20 new sites have been identified. He said, “We will also welcome and facilitate both the national and international investment in the whole exercise for promoting tourism in K-P.”
At the meeting Shaukat Ali Yousufzai the Provincial Minister for Information, Mohammad Israr the Principal Secretary to CM, Shakil Qadir the Secretary Finance, Shahid Zaman the Secretary Tourism and other dignitaries were present.
The delegation was enlightened about the 20 new tourists spots located in Chitral, Malakand and Hazara and the reconstruction work going on roads so that access to these sites become easier. Ski resorts are also being developed at various tourist spots to boost tourism in the area.
