Swat Gets Season’s First Snowfall

Swat has received the season’s first snowfall.
As per the media reports, the picturesque Swat valley got the first snowfall of the season on Wednesday, bringing down the mercury level very low.
According to details, snowfall in Mahudand, Gabriel, Ataroor, and other areas of Swat Valley covered the mountains with a white sheet. After the snowfall, the climate has changed all of a sudden as breezy air started blowing which kept the valley extremely cool.
People in the valley have started using warm clothes as the weather has turned chilly.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Meteorological Department of the country has predicted a possible heatwave for Karachi for a duration of six to eight days. As per the available forecasts, the temperatures are to increase to 40-42ºC.
The concerned authorities have been told to take the required measures and has advised the people to take preventive steps for avoiding the unnecessary sun exposure during the peak heat hours.
