The premium variant of Wagon R was spotted many times doing test rounds on the roads of India. It is expected that Maruti Suzuki will sell the premium version of Wagon R via its Nexa showrooms in India. Recently, the exterior of the vehicle was rendered by a digital artist of IAB.
Pak Suzuki is upgrading its famous hatchback by adding a few premium features. Presently, Wagon R is in its 3rd generation in India. It was launched at the beginning of 2019. As seen in the camouflaged spy shots, the proportions of this version look similar to the regular Wagon R version.
In terms of the exterior of the car, it is expected to have some premium additions like split headlamp having high-set bonnet mounted day-time running lights (DRLs) and lower-set of headlights. The vehicle’s front design will be quite stylish with a differently designed upper and lower grille, front bumper, and newly positioned fog lamps. Other features added include the silver touch-ups underneath the front bumper and side-body baseline.
The side look features 15-inch black alloy wheels and the rear side will have LED tail lamps and high-mounted stop lamps.
The interior of the car will remain more or less, same. But the premium variant will be more comfortable and will be more convenient for its customers. The rumor was that the Maruti might have an all-black cabin and an automatic climate control feature in the premium version of Wagon R.
The premium version of Wagon R will be equipped with most probably BS-6 compliant 4-cylinder 1.2-liter K12M petrol engine mated to a 5-speed transmission. In India, this engine was added to the power train options of Wagon R. It will produce a maximum power of 61 kW at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.
