Pakistanis have ranked Suzuki Mehran as the best car in Pakistan on basis of the cost of ownership.
PakWheels.com conducted a survey in which many different questions were asked. One of the questions was that ‘which is the best car in Pakistan on basis of Cost of Ownership’? Most of the respondents voted for Suzuki Mehran as the best local car in Pakistan on basis of the cost of ownership. Toyota Aqua was voted as the best-imported car in Pakistan based on the cost of ownership.
The first generation Mehran was launched in Pakistan by Pak Suzuki in 1989. The second generation was introduced in 2012. Pak Suzuki Mehran became the top-selling hatchback in 2017 after selling 42,985 units to the consumers.
There are two variants of Mehran, VX, and VXR. People love Mehran because it is an affordable car, fuel efficient, and its spare parts are easily available. The cost of ownership of the car has made it the most popular vehicle in Pakistan.
Though Mehran was voted as the best car in Pakistan in terms of cost of ownership we must mention here that a new affordable car is set to launch soon in Pakistan called United Bravo. United Autos claims that Bravo will be an affordable car in the country, set to break the dominance of Mehran.
In PakWheels survey 19,155 respondents responded from all over Pakistan. The survey covered driving behavior, popular cars, public spending habits and their behaviors relating to the auto sector of Pakistan.
