Microsoft wants to offer its newest and, above all, cheapest, current Surface tablet in black soon. The Surface Go 3 will soon be available in a second, dark color option, similar to most other Surface devices. Equipment and pricing remain the same.
The Surface Go 3 will soon also be available in the new color variant black. This is evident from entries at various international retailers who are already listing the new version. So far, the smallest tablet in the Surface series has only ever been available in the gray version, which Microsoft likes to refer to as “Platinum”.
Black Color With Core i3
Anyone who is toying with the black model must be prepared to spend a little more money. At least based on the dealer information we have received so far, the Surface Go 3 in black will only be available in equipment variants with the Intel Core i3-10100Y. So it is always a question of the somewhat more expensive versions of the Microsoft tablet.
Unlike the cheaper basic versions with Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y SoC, the black versions with the Core i3 SoC always get eight gigabytes of RAM and a 128 or 256 GB “real” SSD. As an option, Microsoft will soon be introducing the black version of the device with an integrated LTE modem, which will also be available in Europe.
When buying the Surface Go 3 in black, the customer can choose between Windows 10 and Windows 11, although this only applies to the commercial versions. In the end customer version, only Windows 11 should be preinstalled in S mode as far as possible. Apparently, nothing changes in the pricing, so that entry will still be possible from 679 euros. We don’t yet know when the Surface Go 3 in black will officially arrive on the market.
