Chances are that Summer Vacation Holidays might get extended in Sindh due to the upcoming General Elections in Pakistan.
A recommendation has been given by the caretaker Sindh education ministry to the Federal Government to extend holidays in Sindh.
As per local news reports, the Federal government has been requested to extend summer vacations in educational institutions of Sindh till June 27th. Earlier Summer vacations in Sindh were announced from May 14th to July 16th. Now the Sindh education department feels that the school staff will be involved in election duties thus regular classes won’t be possible.

Due to the extreme heatwave in Sindh and the start of Ramadan in May, Sindh government announced early summer vacations to provide relief to the students.
If the holidays are extended the students will be elated as Summer vacation holidays are highly anticipated and loved time of the year as families plan trips, travel around or just relax and enjoy at home.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan General Elections will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018. So even if the government does not extend holidays in Sindh, it will be a holiday in Pakistan as people will be out to cast vote to their desired party.
85,000 polling stations and 285,000 polling booths are established for Pakistan General Elections 2018 so that it is easier for voters to vote. At the most sensitive polling stations, security cameras are being installed to make sure that the whole voting procedure is transparent.
