Due to the measures taken by the government, prices of sugar and wheat starts dropping. This has all been observed during the past 10 days.
According to the Minister for Industries and Production due to the import of around 125,000 tons of sugar, a decline of Rs. 10 to 12 per kg has been witnessed.
The imported sugar was provided at the rate of around Rs. 81 per kg at facilitation centers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Whereas the imported sugar was available at Rs. 68 per kg at 4000 Utility Stores outlets across the country.
It was also informed that as per the prediction, the price of sugar would further go down due to the increase in supply.
It is also mentioned that the price of wheat flour also started declining in the past 10 days bringing down the prices of the commodity from Rs. 2,400 to Rs. 2,200 per 40 kg.
