Irshad Bukhari—the Karachi Transport Ittehad President has said that they would be observing a strike on Thursday if the missing automobiles and drivers would not be found by Wednesday. He made this strike call on Tuesday.
Mr Bukhari said that their thirteen vehicles were hired on Sunday for the rally of a political party and since Sunday their vehicles and their drivers are missing.
The President of the Karachi Transport Ittehad said that the drivers were at the Bridge police station 2 days back.
He added that they learnt that last night the drivers were at the Bridge police station but then they disappeared from there.
The Karachi Transport Ittehad President also said that he had spoken on this matter to the police officials and they have been given assurance that the police would look into the matter. He added that however if the drivers are not found, he then warned of observing a strike on Thursday.
On the other hand, in a recent development it was learnt that the British Backpacker Society is to visit Pakistan again in a few days time.
This is the same society that declared Pakistan a safe country to travel and as the best tourism spot of the world.
