Strict action was taken against the people littering Faisal Mosque. The DC of the city not only fined the vendors and people who were found throwing garbage at the mosque but also made them pick the trash for giving awareness.
On every Eid may it be Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid-ul-Adha, a huge amount of people visits the significant and recreational places with their families for enjoying the holidays. It is an unfortunate fact that the same very people leave behind a score of garbage that transforms these places into garbage dumps.
The same happened this year when massive people paid a visit to the Faisal Mosque and left behind so much trash that the place looked like a garbage dump site.

DC Islamabad took notice of this immediately and had the area cleaned.
Soon after the story came to social media, the DC Islamabad took notice of it and assured that the area would be cleaned.
Dr Waqar personally visited the mosque for enforcing the municipal bylaws. Families were requested to not litter the area and workers from the Capital Development Authority were given the task to clean the area.
In addition to that, some people and the vendors in the area who were seen throwing trash in their surroundings were not just fined, but also were made to pick the trash and throw it the provided garbage bins.
