StormFiber internet service provider announced on Sunday that it is expanding its network to Sialkot. Sialkot is going to be the ninth city after Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore, Gujranwala, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Hyderabad which is going to be powered with StormFiber’s Fiber Optic Network. The announcement has been made on Pakistan Defence Day which praises Sialkot’s heroic role in the Indo-Pak in 1965.
Sialkot which is also called the City of Iqbal stood constantly throughout the 1965 war. The city is full of extremists who have fought hard to make Sialkot a vibrant part of the Pakistani economy. In Sialkot, every year on this day a flag is being raised of Hilal-e-Istaqlal in the honor of all those martyrs who fought for our country.
Moreover, Sialkot is famous for a world-class sports goods manufacturer contributing 10% to Pakistan’s total export with yearly export of 2.5 billion. The city is the third-richest city of Pakistan and is considered as an industrial powerhouse. Sialkot provides all kinds of sporting gears along with leather goods and surgical instruments all over the world.
The Managing Director of StormFiber Mr. Fawad Yousuf Laher says that expanding our networks to the most resourceful economic zones of our country vibrates our vision which aims to make the whole country connected. Hopefully, our Fiber to the Home (FTTH) will help in boosting the economic engine of Sialkot.
