A statue of the main character of the Turkish drama series “Ertugrul Ghazi”, which gained immense popularity in Pakistan, was erected in Lahore.
The statue of Ertugrul has been erected in the private Marghzar Housing Society of the provincial capital. The square on which the statue was erected in Marghzar Colony has also been named as “Ertugrul Ghazi Chowk”. The statue has been developed from the mixture of space fiber and iron in Kamalia.
Speaking to the local news, Chairman Housing Society Arshad Cheema said that seeing the statue of the hero who defeated the anti-Muslim elements, the children are also interested in knowing the history.
Interestingly, another statue of Ertugrul is also ready, which will soon be installed in the main square of the same society.
The move by is not only worthy of the audience’s unwavering admiration for the drama but also to thank Turkey for presenting the proud Islamic history in the best possible way.
The play is being aired on state TV in Pakistan with Urdu dubbing from the first of Ramadan on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The play depicts a series of Islamic conquests before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire in the 13th century.
