One of the PIA’s (Pakistan International Airlines) special flight has brought 249 passengers from Saudi Arabia on Thursday. The aircraft landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore.
249 Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia have returned home through PIA’s special flight on Thursday and all the passengers have been shifted to the isolation centers immediately. 4 dead bodies have also arrived in Pakistan.
After the arrival of the flight, the dead bodies were handed over to their relatives by the airport authorities.
The airport’s administration told that 50 passengers have been sent to Virsa Hotel, 43 have been shifted to Hotel One Garden Town, 67 have been isolated in OBAN Hotel, 50 to Kala Shah Kaku Hostel Campus, and 21 to PC (Pearl Continental) Hotel.
PIA also made a schedule of special flights to bring back more Pakistanis stranded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As per the schedule, the first flight had to take off from Lahore on May 14th for Riyadh to bring back 250 nationals.
Another special flight will be sent on 16th May for Makkah to transport 250 stranded nationals. This flight will land in Karachi later on.
Two more flights are scheduled for May 18th and 21st which will be taking off from Faisalabad and Islamabad. Pakistan International Airlines is working hard to serve every Pakistani stuck in a foreign land due to the cancellation of the flight operations in the wake of coronavirus.
