A special delegation of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres would be visiting Pakistan today in view of the current situation of the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK), as per the reports of local media.
As per sources, a special delegation of the UN secretary-general is to visit Pakistan after the current situation of Kashmir.
The delegation would be holding meetings with the PM Khan and the foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for discussing the dispute of Kashmir, as per sources.
On the 16th of February, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had reiterated his call on the dispute of Kashmir for resolving the issue via dialogue during his visit to Pakistan.
While addressing a conference regarding the climate change in the federal capital, he had advised both the nations to engage in meaningful dialogues for the peaceful resolution of the dispute of Kashmir.
While answering a question about the worsening humanitarian solution in the occupied Kashmir, where almost 8 million people are living in an open prison without the basic rights, he said human rights issue needs to be addressed.
The UN chief lauded the measures taken by the government of PTI for addressing the negative impacts of climate change in Pakistan.
