It seems and is apparent that international cricket is now returning to Pakistan and that too with a full swing. After the decision of MCC to tour Pakistan under Kumar Sangakkara guidance, the South Africa cricket team has also made the announcement that it would be sending its team for the T20I series in March next year.
This was revealed by PCB CEO—Wasim Khan, during a media conference held before Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test match in Karachi.
The 3-match T20I series is anticipated to be played after the Pakistan Super League—PSL.
The Cricket team South Africa has accepted the invitation and has agreed for sending their team to Pakistan next year for playing 3 T20Is most probably in the month of March soon after PSL.
The PCB official expects and hopes that all the apex South African cricketers would be visiting with the team and anticipated good news in the span of next weeks’ time. The official schedule is yet to be revealed by the two boards.
South Africa visited Pakistan last in the year 2007 and won both the Test and the ODI series by 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.
He also indicates that Australia would also be touring Pakistan in 2022 for a 2-match Test series, but PCB is striving to convince Cricket Australia for playing 3 matches instead of 2.
The breakthrough Sri Lanka Test series has already proved a huge success and all the eyes are on its completion.
