Sony’s New “Ambient Flow” design will bring the new flagship in the market with bezel-less design and 4K HDR display according to the Chinese report. Sony has displayed Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 compact with bezel-less designs in the MWC 2018 event, However, the new reports claim that Sony will come up soon with even lesser bezel design and 4K HDR display.
Sony new design flow will replace the older Omnibalance design of Xperia devices, the display would also be of much higher quality with 4320X2180 pixel screen resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9 and the IPS display will support HDR.
Sony is now employing such high-resolution displays in favor of VR where Sony is one of the key players. But here Sony could replicate its success in Play Station VR to the mobile segment with 4K displays.
According to the report, the name of the handset is not confirmed yet, however, the specifications are leaked. The new Sony flagship will have Snapdragon 845 chip under the hood, the device will sport 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage.
The report should be taken as a grain of salt until more solid information is leaked about the handset, Sony Xperia XZ Premium is also being boasted with a 4K display so the newer model is likely to have that on board. Also Xperia XZ series also accommodate Snapdragon 845, while Sony is working on the production of Xperia XZ brothers, meanwhile it is also working on unveiling the new device during the second half of 2018.
