Sony and Meizu Joined Hands to Offer Better Services

Sony joins hands with Meizu to offer better services to Xperia uses in China.

Sony-Meizu

Sony will now jointly work with Meizu for its flagship smartphone in China. One of the first Sony smartphones to get benefits of this venture is the Xperia 1 III.

According to a report, the two will begin the new venture on 15th October 2021 (today). After the official contract, the Sony smartphone will come either with pre-installed apps or allow users to download those from Meizu’s Flyme Android skin on the Xperia 1 III.

That means the new Sony Xperia smartphone can now have the Flyme app store along with services related to news, email, and weather.

An official statement on this occasion read:

During the strategic cooperation period, Sony and Meizu will further explore more Flyme functions and application cooperation possibilities on different products.

Although, Meizu is not a major player in the region, a combination of two small powers might do great things, at least in some regions.
