The Punjab government has once again banned smoke emitting vehicles in the province. The government also have banned the burning of crops.
The Punjab government is highly concerned with the smog situation. Smog has been in high volume since the past five years and no one had been able to control this.
In response to the threat from smog this year, the Punjab government has strictly banned polluting vehicles, burning residues of crops, and garbage in the province.
The government has already directed the environment, transport, and police departments to enforce the law immediately. Strict actions would be taking against those breaking the law.
The recent guidance was forwarded by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali, today. He advised the relevant authorities to make it certain that no such activity is witnessed in the province. He also told the departments to report to the DC office on a daily basis.
Besides smoke emitting vehicles, sale of low-quality fuel products, and brick kilns are also banned.
