The provincial government of Balochistan has extended the smart lockdown due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for another fifteen days and the directives to run business with the precautionary measures have also been issued by the government authorities.
The Home Department of Balochistan has issued a notification in this regard in which it has been directed that the business centers and other shops will remain open six days a week from 9 am to 7 pm. On the other hand, a complete lockdown will be observed on Fridays.
According to the notification issued by Balochistan Home Department, the shops selling milk and yogurt, tandoors, and medical stores will remain open 24/7.
On the other hand, the restaurants can only provide takeaway service for 24 hours and all the educational institutions across the province will remain closed till July 15.
The details of the decisions made by the provincial government said that the inter-city and inter-district public transport will remain suspended. Furthermore, the ban on all religious, social, and other ceremonies remains in place along with cinemas, picnic points, marriage halls, gyms, and clubs.
