The government of Sindh has taken the decision to provide oxygen cylinders to the COVID-19 patients who have quarantined themselves at home after they tested positive for the virus.
Mumtaz Ali Shah, the Sindh Chief Secretary, in a meeting on the Coronavirus Emergency Fund formed a committee to formulate a mechanism via the public-private partnership for delivering oxygen cylinders to the COVID-19 patients at home.
The chief secretary also said that the government would be setting up the divisional headquarters and the medical universities as well in the province.
The finance secretary of Sindh has informed the participants that the people had donated Rs.3.62 billion for the fund of the government.
Rs.1.11 billion have been spent so far and the purchase orders of Rs.1 billion have been placed, as informed by the secretary.
On the other hand, the government of Sindh has taken the decision of establishing five hospitals for handling the coronavirus epidemic. The news was shared by the health minister of the province.
