Sindh Schools are Opening for Teachers from March 9

School across the province of Sindh would be reopening on the 16th of March, as per the Education Minister Saeed Ghani. However, the teachers and other staff would be returning to the classrooms on the 9th of March for preparations. The said preparations include getting the intermediate and matriculation students’ admit cards ready.

The matriculation examinations are scheduled from the 16th of March that is Monday and would be held that day.

The minister headed a steering committee meeting on Saturday and also took the decision that the summer vacation would be commencing from the 15th of May until the 15th of July.

A helpline would also be established for controlling cheating.

The schools across the province of Sindh were closed amid the fears of coronavirus. Pakistan has so far reported 6 confirmed cases of the virus and 3 of the patients are in Karachi.

On the other hand, as per the latest development, the federal government is taking into consideration to set up almost 1,000 shelter homes in the country in one year’s time.

PM Khan’s focal person on shelter homes said in a statement that nearly 50 panagahs have so far been set up across the country. He also said that a database is being formed of all the people taking advantage of these shelter homes.
