Sindh Govt. to Set up Isolation Centres in District Headquarters

Syed Murad Ali Shah, the CM Sindh chaired a meeting of all the provincial deputy commissioners except that of Karachi, in the meeting the decision of setting up the isolation centres in the district headquarters was taken amid the coronavirus outbreak, as per the reports of local media.

The CM said that the concerned deputy commissioners would be establishing a quarantine facility in each district headquarter. He also said that the government would be providing every possible facility that is needed in the isolation centre.

He further added that they would be providing the ventilators and other needed medical equipment for the 6 tertiary care hospitals in the province of Sindh.

Previously, the Health Minister of Sindh Dr Azra Pechuho gave confirmation to 2 new deaths from the coronavirus in Karachi, thus tincreasing the provincial death count to 13.

Minister Azra Fazl said that both patients were tested positive on the 1st of April and were the cases of local transmissions.

In the meantime, 22 new cases of the virus were confirmed in the province of Sindh on Friday, hence increasing the total count of cases to 783.

On the other hand, as per the latest, the federal minister of education has vowed to take strict action against the private schools not paying salaries to the teachers.
