Sindh Govt to Set up Heatwave Relief Camps Across Karachi

Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Sindh Information Advisor stated this Monday that heatwave relief camps would be set up across Karachi so that the people all around the city could easily deal with the hot weather which is most likely to hit the ports of Karachi from May 1.

He said while talking to the media that, ambulances and other facilities will be provided at 118 spots. Also, cold water would be provided at 185 spots to help the Karachi-ites in fighting the heat of the blazing sun.

Murtaza Wahab says that the youth has rejected the party’s politics of division also he advised the Muttahida Qaumi Movement- Pakistan (MQM-P) to avoid such kind of politics and try resolving issues faced by the citizens.

He criticized Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar and asked him to stop crying over the lack of funds and making excuses that he couldn’t serve the masses due to this reason. Although the truth is that the provincial government provides RS.7 billion to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation every year in order to take good care of the city.

Furthermore, he said that the Mayor is always crying for the lack of powers, although he did have all the powers when he pulled down the shops but when it comes to the provisions of jobs for the people he complains about the lack of powers.

Murtaza Wahab inquired the mayor that what has he been doing since past 2 and 1/2 years, as it is the Sindh government that has been doing work to uplift the city.
