The government of Sindh has taken the decision of purchasing 60k ration bags in the first phase for the purposes of distribution amid the COVID-19 outbreak, as per the reports of local media.
The commodities that are made a part of the ration bag includes flour, milk, pulses, rice and other things.
The ration bags would be distributed via the Provincial Disasters Management Authority. Ever since the decision of the Sindh government the Disasters Management Authority has started doing preparations for the buying of the ration bags.
The authority has asked for quotations from the sellers within a span of 3 days.
It is pertinent to mention that so far only in the province of Sindh 181 cases have been reported.
Previously, CM Sindh Murad had given orders for offering ration to the families of the people affected by the virus He added that the Sindh government would be taking care of the families of the ones kept in the quarantine centre established in Sukkur.
He had said that he is fully in the knowledge that the people being sent to the isolation centres have got families to feed.
The CM asked them to keep the quarantined people to focus on their health and not to take tension about their families back at their homes.
