Sindh Govt. to Launch Smart Card for Online Tax Collection

Mukesh Kumar Chawala, the Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control has informed that the Sindh government would be introducing the smart cards for the online tax collection.

He said he is informing this with great satisfaction that despite the corona brought tough times the excise department has achieved more than a hundred percent tax during the 2019-20 fiscal year.

The minister said that the Excise department of Sindh is a significant part of the government of Sindh and is playing a major role in the collection of taxes.

Mukesh Kumar Chawala said that the department is also taking effective initiatives against the drug-peddlers in the province and added that the Excise department was the 2nd biggest tax collection tax agency after the SBR.

Previously, on Monday the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) took the decision about the operating hours of the cattle markets. As per the decision these markets are to operate from 6 am in the morning to 7 pm in the evening before Eid-ul-Azha.

On the other, the sun would directly hover over the Holy Kaaba in Saudi Arabia today. This would enable all the Muslims to see the direction of the Qibla by looking at the sun at that very moment.
