It has been decided by the government of Sindh that it will increase salaries of the provincial government employees in the budget for the fiscal year 2020-21.
The provincial government has made the decision to increase the salaries by 10% of the grade 1 to 16 employees. Also, officers of grade 17 and above will be given an increase of 5% in their pays in the budget 2020-21.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal and Punjab government decided not to increase salaries of the employees in their budgets for the fiscal year 2020-21.
Today the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will present the Sindh budget with a total outlay of over Rs.1200 billion.
In order to fight COVID-19, Rs.5 billion will be allocated. Rs.34.73 billion will be allocated for new schemes under the development budget.
According to sources, Rs 5billion will be allocated to fight the novel coronavirus while the development budget will include new schemes worth Rs34.73 billion.
Similarly, Rs.15 billion will be given to the district development programme and around Rs.55 billion will be given to the foreign aided projects.
