Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, the Sindh Minister for Local Bodies informed yesterday that specific sites would be designated in the province for the collective sacrifice of animals on Eid-ul-Azha, as per the reports of local media.
He announced this while heading a meeting to review the arrangements for rain and Eid-ul-Azha.
He said that the chairmen of the union councils should play their respective roles for the collective sacrifice in their areas and the specific locations should be identified in each area for the mentioned purpose.
Nasir Hussain Shah said that the Solid Waste Management Board of Sindh would be making the arrangements for lifting the animal waste on Eid-ul-Azha. He said that a plan should be made to bury the lifted waste on an immediate basis.
Regarding the rain emergency in the province, the provincial minister said that they are releasing funds to the DMCs through the concerned commissioners for the cleaning and clearing of the underpasses and nullah for the rainwater.
He indicated that they would be resolving the differences between the officials of the various departments for ensuring the smooth working during rain emergency.
