Sindh Govt. Imports 10,000 Coronavirus Testing Kits

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said on Sunday that the provincial government has imported 10,000 coronavirus testing kits.

He also said that these testing kits have been imported under an arrangement with the Indus Hospital of the Karachi.

The total count of the confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus has increased to 35 in Sindh and 53 in Pakistan.

The CM said that 13 people have tested positive for the coronavirus from amongst the people who have reached Sukkur from Taftan.

These people were kept in the quarantine at the Pakistan-Iran border, he further said.

It is pertinent to mention that the first positive case of the coronavirus has been detected in the provincial capital of Punjab.

He also said that a private laboratory has conducted the tests and the diagnosis declared the individual as infected.

On the other hand, the aviation authority has placed a bar of 1-person only accompanying the travellers to the airport.
