The data that has been compiled by the Sindh authorities of the COVID-19 patients in Karachi has indicated that the district central is the area that has been affected the most, as the highest count of the coronavirus patients has been identified there, as per the reports of local media.
Other than that, the authorities are also doing the digital mapping of the cell phones of the COVID-19 positive cases with the assistance of the professionals to form a detailed database.
As per a source, the digital mapping would be helpful in tracing the travel history of the patients and the details pertaining to their social contacts before they were tested positive for the deadly pathogen.
It was further indicated that the health department of Sindh has completed the digital mapping of more than one hundred and twenty-five patients and the practice would assist in identifying the suspected cases at an easier pace.
Also, the number of testing facilities of the coronavirus in Sindh has surged from 3 to 9, where more than 1,000 tests were being done on a daily basis with the government expecting to enhance the capacity to 3,600 tests on a daily basis in the span of next few weeks.
