Sindh Govt. Decides to Reopen Driving License Centres Due to Fall in Coronavirus Cases

According to the local media reports, the Sindh government has taken the decision of reopening the driving license centers throughout the province, after a significant drop in the coronavirus cases per day.

Earlier the centers had to suspend their operations mid-March for curbing the spread of the virus throughout the region, as Sindh was one of the most affected provinces of the country.

It is pertinent to mention, that the driving license centers would be issuing the learner’s permit, would offer international driving permits, and would also be offering the renewal of the expired licenses service. New driving licenses would not be issued as of yet.

Moreover, for the learner’s permit and for the international driver’s licenses, the token has to be taken in by the applicants a day before.

The applicants would also be asked to have their body temperatures checked at the branch entrances and they would not be permitted to enter the branch premises without their masks and gloves.

As per the officials these steps are all being taken to avoid the resurgence of the COVID-19 cases. They further ensured that these steps would be followed strictly to make sure that the applicants and the staff remain protected and safe.
