The government of Sindh has decided to extend the schools closure until March 13 amid coronavirus outbreak, as per the reports of local media.
A spokesperson for the government relayed that all the educational institutes across the province would remain closed until the 13th of March.
The decision to keep the public and private educational institutes closed has been taken during a high-level meeting led by the CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah at the CM’s house.
Saeed Ghani the Education Minister of Sindh posted on Twitter that the government of Sindh has taken the decision to extend the closure of all the educational institutes until the 13th of March 2020.
Previously the government had given notification about the reopening of all the public and private educational institutions in Sindh on the 2nd of March.
As per the notification all the public and private educational institutions under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department, Sindh shall remain closed from February 27 for preventive steps taken on account of the appearance of unexpected cases of coronavirus and shall reopen on Monday.
The Sindh government had taken the decision to close all the government and private schools across the province for 2 days on the 27th of February after the case of coronavirus emerged in Karachi.
But, the announcement made Saeed Ghani has not given any specific reason for the closure of the educational institutions.
