In an attempt to stop the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the Sindh province, the provincial government is considering to impose a complete lockdown on Friday for 3 hours, as per the reports of local media.
The lockdown would be from 12 noon to 3 pm.
As per sources, the decision has been taken for limiting the large crowds during the Friday prayers.
The government of Sindh is in consultation with the Ulema of the various sects, and has taken the decision to go for the lockdown in order to curb the gatherings in mosques.
All shops, business centres would also remain closed during the lockdown.
The government of Sindh has imposed a complete lockdown for 15 days fro the 23rd of March for containing the spread of the coronavirus.
In the meantime, 3 more patienst have recovred from the coronavirus in the Sindh province today and have tested negative for the disease on Wednesday, as per a spokesperson of the provincial government.
As per the latest statistics, the count of coronavirus cases has increased to 2039 in the country, whereas 59 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 epidemic.
