The government of Sindh has placed a ban on the Youm-e-Ali related rallies and processions, as per an issued notification.
Youm-e-Ali is observed on the 19th of Ramazan.
The provincial home department has issued the notification that states that all kind of processions and rallies are barred in the holy month.
The province of Sindh has been under the lockdown conditions since the 23rd of March after an intensive rise in the number of coronavirus cases in the nation.
The virus has claimed the lives of 312 people in Pakistan. Of these 312, 82 were killed in Sindh alone. The total tally of the COVID-19 affectees in Pakistan is 14,504.
All these steps are being taken by the government to curb the spread of the coronavirus. This novel virus has affected all across the globe. To curb its spread it is important that social gatherings be avoided and social distancing is practiced.
On the other hand, as per the latest, the NADRA offices and the Sindh Revenue board will be opening their offices from today. These offices had been closed amid corona imposed lockdown.
